I*ACT (Institute for the Advancement of Complementary Therapies) promotes the integration of healing therapies such as Reiki into conventional health care. The hospital Reiki programs are an important part of this mission. Not only do these programs bring relief to a diverse population who might not otherwise have an opportunity to access Reiki, but also they demonstrate the viability and benefits of Reiki in conventional medical settings.
